Seattle is a great city, but I was pretty disconnected from nature and growing food for many years. I moved to Seattle about 19 years ago to study English and ended up staying here for good. I used to take it for granted and didn’t really think it was anything special. My grandparents grew rice and many of the vegetables we ate.
